Comment: Without question this is the best walking shoe I have ever owned. I have problem feet and bad ankles and this shoe gives great support and comfort. I will own another pair.

Comment: The shoes are extremely comfortable and are indeed waterproof. Also, I had the shoes shipped with Amazon free shipping and the package arrived at my door exactly 21 hours, thats right, 21 hours after I had placed the order. Fantastic.
Summary: Great Hiking and Winter sneaker

Comment: I was looking for a replacement for my NB 901 hiking boots and found the MW977, overall the 977 is more comfortable, weight a bit less, and better looking. The Goretex is waterproof and can make my feet a bit sweaty at time (especially in the Summer), but wearing wool socks keep my feet dry and comfy. This is a great walking and hiking sneakers for sure.
Summary: great for hiking

Comment: The shoes did great for my son on five days of hiking in the Red Rock Country in Arizona. Comfortable and well made. I bought the women's version for myself (my size wasn't available on Amazon, though), and love them. He and I both have wide feet, so we love New Balance's widths. We found these to be true to size. I can't evaluate the waterproofing yet.
