In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and "inox," or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The forerunner of that name dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor or versatility.

Comment: Classic Swiss Army product at an Amazon value price.
The only reason I did not go with 5 stars is that the
knife that was bundled in this package is really too small to use
for much of anything. Other than that, no complaints.
In fact, I purchased a couple different other models
of knives after receiving these.

Comment: the pair is just great. One of em is big and not very appropirate for a keychain addition, but the other is just great for a keychain addition. The bigger one is good for camping, fishing and outdoor stuff...over all a great buy and a great holiday gift as well...

Summary: The knife for the serious tech worker.

Comment: For the busy technology professional, a good knife can be the single most used tool. The Victorinox Tinker is pretty close to perfect. It has the critical core screwdrivers -- flathead and Phillips -- as well as simple punch, pick, and tweezers. It is NOT a huge pocket-tearing monster. The biggest problem is not leaving this miniature workshop behind!

Comment: I recently lost my keychain knife and was looking to replace it. The price on this package was so good I couldn't resist it! Now I am purchasing another set as a gift and will probably be back for more before Christmas! I also couldn't believe how fast I received my order. This a great product, great price.
