Comment: If you have small items that need an up-converter, this one will do the trick. It works great! I am amazed at how small this thing is. (I remember when they used to be about the size of a car battery!). Whisper quiet cooling system and enough current for radios and other electronics. I love it.
Summary: Product's fine. Amazon was not.

Comment: Paid for expedited shipping for delivery in time for a long road trip. Delivery was late and had to live without. Reliability of delivery from Amazon seems to be slipping big time.
Summary: Handy little utility

Comment: This is a handy little utility that I bought after Ike, where we suffered 10 days of no electricity. It is a good item to convert DC in the car to AC. We used it a few times, and it works well with charging notebook computer/ipod as well as for heating up the electric curling iron for my girlfriend to do her hair as we go from one Christmas party to another. The only thing is that it is not too powerful to charge large items such as bigger TV or refrigerator. Otherwise, it is good. Slightly noisy due to the fan inside.

Comment: worked great, and at a great price. Other reviewers had commented about a noise that its fan motor makes. I hardly noticed the noise from the fan. I would not pass on this just because of a minor and barely noticeable fan noise.

Summary: Works great on plane!

Comment: I fly American Airlines coast to coast. Most American planes have DC outlets under the seats. I was able to plug the converter in the DC socket, plug my computer into the AC outlet and work and use the internet service without running out of battery power....Highly recommend for this application. Just make sure you purchase the correct wattage rating. I use a Dell laptop and the 175Watt rating worked well.
